Noctua NH-U12F - The Silent TypeThe NH-U12F by Austrian company Noctuahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noctua relays the heat produced by the CPU to the cooling fins via four heatpipes. We should note that the manual that comes with this cooler is the most easily understandable one in the entire roundup - thank you, Noctua! Only a few glances at the manual tell you everything you need to know about how to install the cooler. Commendably, Noctua also includes a Phillips head screwdriver with its product. The only thing we could criticize about the installation is that it requires the motherboardhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motherboard to be removed from the case. Overall, the Austrians prove that even a cooler that is mounted using screwshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screw can be very easy to install.

Noctua NH-U12FWhether the cooler is used at its highest or lowest speed, it remains completely inaudible inside the computer enclosure. A fan-speed regulator is not included.

Underside
Mounting ComponentsWe recommend setting the cooler to run at its maximum fan speed, where it cools the CPU to 71°C. This is average cooling performance.

Retail boxIn light of the cooling performance offered, we consider the price of $65 rather steep.

NH-U12F和14还有差距。。。更别说120E了。。。不过其中也有别的因素。。。扇子。。。。这个测试不好的地方就是没有使用统一的扇子。。。。让人遗憾。。。
Silverstone Nitrogon NT06 Lite - The One With Its Screws LooseSilverstone's Nitrogon NT06 Lite failed the test since the knurled nuts for mounting the cooler lie 2.5 cm directly under the cooler. Since the knurled nuts are very difficult to reach due to surrounding coolers and components, fastening them is extremely cumbersome, and requires dexterous hands.

Silverstone Nitrogon NT06 LiteMounting the cooler is impossible while the motherboardhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motherboard is installed in the case, since the cooler's backplate is attached directly to the cooler using Phillips head screwshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screw , without a spacer. Thus, the board also needs to be removed every time you upgrade your CPU in order to fasten the screws on the back of the motherboard, since there is no other way to install the cooler.
That's not all, though - it gets worse. Unbelievably, the screws holding the black metal frame in place fell out of the cooler. Closer inspection revealed that the screws were actually too small, and had been screwed into the cooling fins without a screw thread.

No threads for the screwsObviously there can be only one outcome here - this cooler fails our test.

Underside
FanThe Nitrogon NT06 Lite ships without a cooler. Silverstonehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silverstone included their recommended fan for this cooler, their own FN122, with the review sample. In most cases, this fan will need to set to run at its highest speed of 760 RPM, since some motherboards will not be able to detect lower fan speeds and will refuse to start. At full speed, the fan is inaudible inside the case and can cool the quad-core processor to 76°C - not exactly an outstanding achievement.

Mounting Components
Retail boxFor this model, the orientation inside the case is very important - it is no longer able to cool the quad-core processor if it is rotated by 90°. The cooler is oriented correctly when the heatpipes are arranged vertically.

The cooler costs $54, while the fan adds another $12 to the bottom line. We strongly advise against buying this model.

Installation with reduced cooling performance

银欣的散热器。。。。比较少见。。。。
Zaward Sylphee - The Ugly DucklingZaward's Sylphee is truly not what you would call a beautiful cooler. To be honest, it is among the ugliest designs to have ever made its way into our labs. On the other hand, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we're not rating the coolers for their designs.
Thanks to a pushpin mounting solution, the cooler is very easy and quick to install. It uses two heatpipes, with two temperature-regulated silent fans mounted in the middle of its body. Each of the fans possesses its own power cable, and a Y-adapter provides the connection with the motherboardhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motherboard .

Zaward SylpheeEven when running at their maximum speed of 2040 RPM, the silent fans are whisper quiet. However, the downside is that the CPU temperature is much too high, reaching 89°C - in a badly ventilated tower, this may force the CPU to throttle its performance in order to prevent overheating and damage. The retail box promises that the cooler can handle up to 130W of thermal dissipation.

Installation

这款不认识。。。。大家有认识的吗。。。成绩一般的。样子。。。好怪异阿
Zerotherm Nirvana NV120 - The Hardware KillerZerotherm appalled us with its newest cooler product, the Nirvana NV120. We feel obligated to point out the dangers and risks that are associated with using this cooler. If you are not very careful when installing it, you can easily damage or even destroy your PC components.

Zerotherm Nirvana NV120The backplate, which is mounted in the back of the motherboardhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motherboard , is covered with a transparent adhesivehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adhesive foil. When removing the protective sticker from the backplate, it is far too easy to accidentally pull off this adhesive film too. As a result, the bare metal will press against the reverse side of the CPU socket, creating a short circuithttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_Circuit that can destroy your entire motherboard. In the worst case, this can even affect other components as well.

Hardware-Killer
Metal shavings already caused problems with the previous modelAnother reason we had to fail this cooler is that it, too, suffers from the already well-known problem with metal shavings. When you attach the cooler by fastening the screwshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screw , metal shavings can fall from the screws and springs and fall into the hardware of your PC - again causing a short circuit. This is not a new problem, but one that we've mentioned in previous reviews.

A look at the cooler from below
Mounting componentsWhen running at its highest fan speed, the Nirvana NV120 achieves good cooling performance, able to cool the quad-core CPU to 65°C. However, it is unbearably loud at this setting. At its lowest speed, the CPU temperature rises to 74°C and the cooler is completely inaudible. Its noise level increases when the fan speed is raised by more than 33%. Thus, only the lowest fan speed will allow you to work without the cooler's noise becoming an annoyance.

In our eyes, a price of $46 is too steep for the performance this cooler offers.

不说什么了。。大家慢慢看。。。。

Scythe Kama Cross - The Sham PackageScythe's Kama Cross failed the test due to its abysmal cooling performance. It is unfathomable why the box sports a sticker proclaiming the cooler "quad-core ready" when this model is not in the least capable of cooling the testbed CPU. A single glance at the cooler is enough to realize that its cooling area is too small and its heatpipes far too long to get the job done.

Scythe Kama CrossInstallation is as easy as it gets, using four pushpins. Removal may be more problematic, since the pushpins cannot be released using a screwdriver.

Retail boxScythehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scythe chose to use a 100 mm fan for the Kama Cross, a size that is increasingly rarely seen. Its fan blades have very sharp edges which gave one of the testing editors some nasty cuts. The fan is too far away from the cooling elements and the heatpipes, and the slanting cooling fins hinder airflow, which explains the lousy cooling performance.

Underside
Mounting ComponentsWhen installed inside a tower case, the cooler is inaudible both at its highest and its lowest setting.

It is incomprehensible to us why Scythe would bring a cooler like this to market. We have a few of the company's other coolers in the rounduphttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roundup as well, all of which are better thought out and offer superior performance as well. Even a moderate price tag of $30 is far too high in light of the abysmal cooling performance.

又是个中看不中用的。。。。

Scythe Ninja Plus Rev. B - The Cutting Edge CoolerThis is the second cooler by Scythehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scythe to make an appearance in the roundup. The Ninjahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja Plus Rev. B sports six heatpipes and is rather large, measuring 13.5 x 11 x 14 cm (length x width x height). It also ships with a fan pre-installed, namely Scythe's own SY1225SL12M (120 mm x 25 mm, 1200 RPM, 116.4 m³/h, 24 db(A)).

Scythe Ninja Plus Rev BThe Ninja Plus only receives 4 points for its cooling performance, since it is only able to cool the processor to 77°C even at its highest setting. Due to its configuration using 23 aluminum cooling fins, the fan is about 1 db(A) louder than on the Thermalright IXF-14. At full speed, there is a very audible hiss as a result of this design. Therefore, we recommend setting the fan to run at 75% speed. Overall, its cooling performance is lackluster.

Installation is very simple, as the cooler uses pushpins like those found on Intel's box coolers. Using a 12 cm flat-head screw driver, mounting the fan is child's play. Pushing down or pulling out the pushpins is a bit more difficult without a screwdriver, if there are other components such as the chipset cooler in the way. Holding the cooler is not a pleasant experience, as it has many sharp edges - careless moves can quickly result in injury.
