VSync Enabled
• Throttles frame-rate to monitor refresh
• Enabling triple-buffering does NOT offset enabling vsync:
– If render-rate faster than monitor refresh, Then vsync still gates GPU
• Worse, triple-buffering
– Increases lag
– Consumes (much) more video-memory |
